Founded in 1903 in Almelo, Heracles have over 120 years of history. While they have never won a major trophy, the club have been a steady presence in Dutch football, yo-yoing between the top two divisions.

Since gaining promotion in 2005, Heracles have aimed to establish themselves as a permanent Eredivisie fixture, driven by a community-focused approach.

The 12,080-capacity Erve Asito Stadion is a compact, modern ground on the outskirts of Almelo, serving as the heart of the local community.
