RCD MALLORCA
RCD Mallorca
Club History
Founded in 1916 on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, RCD Mallorca are the only La Liga club based in the Balearic Islands. A golden period in the early 2000s saw Champions League participation in 1998-99 and a Copa del Rey final in 2002-03.
After experiencing relegation — dropping as low as the third tier — they returned to La Liga in 2019 and have remained in the top flight since. The unique island identity and resort atmosphere make Mallorca one of Spanish football's most distinctive clubs.
