Match Preview
- Strasbourg come into this one 12th on seven points from six games (2W-1D-3L) with a goal difference of minus one. PSG are sixth on 11, level with Lyon (+7) and Paris FC (+4) but behind both on goal difference, and already three points adrift of leaders Monaco on 14. With the top half crammed between 11 and 14 points, the champions can ill afford another slip.
- The two sides arrive in contrasting form. Strasbourg beat Lens 2-1 at home in round two and thrashed Troyes 6-2 away in round three, but have since lost 2-1 at Paris FC and 2-1 at Nice. PSG, meanwhile, have won three in a row since a 2-1 home defeat to Monaco in round three: 1-0 at Brest, 2-1 at Marseille and 3-1 at home to Le Mans.
- Strasbourg centre-back Klibali faces the club that raised him. The 23-year-old came through the PSG academy but began his professional career at Borussia Dortmund, later taking in spells at Royal Antwerp and a loan at Brest before settling in Alsace. At 191cm and left-footed, his aerial strength and range of passing will be tested by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ferran Torres.
- Every member of Strasbourg's starting XI is 24 or younger. The elder statesman is 192cm Danish goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, 24, who graduated from Villarreal's academy and spent time at Chelsea, and is comfortable playing out from the back. Nineteen-year-old Swede Genesis Antwi starts in defence, while 17-year-old, 196cm centre-back Yoan Becker waits on the bench.
- Giovanni Reyna, wearing the number 10, is the hub of Strasbourg's attack. The 23-year-old United States international joined permanently from Borussia Monchengladbach in August 2026 after becoming the youngest American to appear in the Bundesliga at 17 with Dortmund, with a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in between. His close control in tight spaces and final ball will be measured against the intensity of PSG's midfield.
- In PSG's midfield, the start for 18-year-old Doro Fernandez stands out. A product of Barcelona's cantera who moved to Paris in January 2026, the Spanish attacking midfielder gets his chance with Vitinha, 26, and Fabian Ruiz, 30, both named among the substitutes. How well Joao Neves, the 22-year-old Benfica graduate known for his covering ground and driving runs, screens behind him will shape who controls the game.
- PSG's front three reads Kvaratskhelia, 25, the two-footed Georgian who won Serie A and the league MVP award in his first season at Napoli; Ferran Torres, 26, a Valencia academy product who has worn the shirts of Manchester City and Barcelona; and Maghnes Akliouche, 24, the Monaco academy graduate who took silver with France at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Strasbourg's back four of Klibali, Jeyland Mitchell, 22, and teenager Antwi averages barely 22 years of age.
- PSG's defensive line is an unusual mix. Two natural left-sided players in Lucas Digne, 33, formerly of Barcelona, Everton and Aston Villa, and Lucas Hernandez, 30, a 2018 World Cup winner, line up together, while Warren Zaire-Emery, 20, a central midfielder by trade, is also deployed in the back four. In the middle, Ukraine international Illia Zabarnyi, 24, who arrived via Dynamo Kyiv and Bournemouth, provides 189cm of aerial authority.
- Strasbourg's attacking threat runs through 20-year-old Moroccan winger Jeshuam Yassin, a left-footed right winger who helped Morocco win the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup before a move from Dunkerque worth around seven million euros. Strasbourg have scored 11 goals in six games, matching PSG's tally and including that six-goal haul at Troyes, but they have also conceded 12. His one-on-one instincts offer a route in behind the visitors' full-backs.
- The visitors' bench is loaded. Ousmane Dembele, 29, whose 2024-25 treble campaign earned him the Ballon d'Or, sits alongside first-choice right-back Achraf Hakimi, 27, and the explosive Nuno Mendes, 24, with Mika Godts, the 21-year-old Belgian winger who hit 12 goals and nine assists in 21 games in 2025-26 before arriving from Ajax, also in reserve. The quality of the changes late on could decide the swing of the match.
