Club History

Founded as Hoylake WFC in 1983, the club competed as Leasowe for 12 years before officially affiliating with Everton FC in 1995. They won the National Premier League in 1998 and the FA Women's Cup twice, establishing themselves as one of English women's football's longest-running institutions.

As a founding member of the WSL, Everton have competed at the top level since the league's inception, though they have been distant from the title race in recent years.

The Move to Goodison Park

From the 2025-26 season, following the men's team's relocation to the new Bramley-Moore stadium, the women's team have taken up permanent residence at Goodison Park (capacity 39,414). This makes it the largest dedicated women's football venue in England, a stark contrast to the Walton Hall Park era.

Goodison Park, opened in 1878, is one of football's most historic grounds. The women's team inheriting this iconic stadium represents a landmark commitment to women's football by the club.
