Carlos Queiroz's (Portuguese) Ghana announced their final 26 on June 2 (trimmed from 28). This is Ghana's fifth World Cup appearance overall — and the historic target is to match 2010 South Africa's quarter-final run (then a record-tying best for an African side).

Spine: captain Jordan Ayew (Leicester, 120 caps of the Ayew dynasty) + Thomas Partey (Villarreal, a La Liga winner at Atletico and ex-Arsenal) + Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City, a £62.5M signing in 2026) + Iñaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao, ex-Spain international) + Kamaldeen Sulemana (Atalanta). A Premier League/La Liga/Serie A/Ligue 1-loaded squad.

Group L opponents: Panama, England, Croatia. June 17 vs PAN (Toronto) → June 23 vs ENG (Boston Stadium) → June 27 vs CRO (Philly). After a Qatar 2022 group exit (despite a 3-2 win over South Korea), reaching a first R16 berth in 16 years is the realistic target.

LIKELY 4-3-3.

Queiroz's preferred 4-3-3. Captain Ayew (Leicester) at No.9, Iñaki Williams (Athletic) left, Semenyo (Man City) right. Partey (Villarreal) anchors with Owusu + Sibo as 8s. CB pair Mumin + Adjetey (Wolfsburg). Seidu (Rennes) + Mensah (Auxerre) at full-back.

4-3-3 (predicted)
