Club History

Founded in 1970 (predecessor established 1937), Toulouse are nicknamed "Les Violets" for their distinctive purple kit. While never league champions, they have won the Coupe de France twice (2023, 2025).

American investment group RedBird Capital took ownership in 2020. After a Ligue 2 relegation, the club bounced back to the top flight in 2022-23 and dramatically won the Coupe de France in the same season — their first major trophy in 66 years.

Stadium de Toulouse

Built in 1937 and used as a venue for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the Stadium de Toulouse seats 33,150 spectators. Situated along the Garonne river, it provides a relaxed southern French atmosphere on matchdays.

Carles Martinez Novell

Spanish manager Carles Martinez Novell, appointed in 2023, blends Barcelona-school possession football with pragmatic defensive flexibility. Two cup triumphs and consistent league finishes have validated his approach. He is also committed to developing academy talent, building a sustainable pipeline for the future.
