Club History

Officially established as Leicester City's women's team in 2004, the Foxes won the Women's Championship in 2021 to earn promotion to the WSL, channelling the "Foxes spirit" that defined the men's team's remarkable 2015-16 Premier League title triumph.

The team plays at the King Power Stadium (capacity 32,212). In 2024-25, they earned 17 of their 20 points at home, making this venue a genuine fortress and a key factor in their survival.

Managerial Change and Rebuilding

Amandine Miquel was sacked just 11 days before the 2025-26 season opener after one year in charge. Rick Passmoor was appointed on a three-year deal in October 2025, tasked with rebuilding a squad that lost several key players during the summer.

King Power Fortress

Leicester's greatest weapon is their home ground. Playing at one of the WSL's largest stadiums provides a significant advantage in terms of player motivation and fan support. The underdog spirit that defined the men's team's fairytale title win has been inherited by the women's side, who approach every match against the established elite without fear.
