Jesse Marsch's (American) Canada announced their final 26 on May 29. As co-hosts for their third World Cup (after 1986 and 2022's group stage exit), the Davies + Jonathan David axis fronts Marsch's high-press 4-3-3 in pursuit of a first-ever knockout berth.

Spine: Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich, captain), Jonathan David (Juventus, all-time top scorer with 39), Cyle Larin (Southampton, 30 goals for second on the list), Tajon Buchanan (Villarreal, ex-Inter Serie A winner), Stephen Eustáquio (LAFC, ex-Porto). A hybrid European-MLS construction making the most of home advantage with all three group matches in Canada.

Group B fixtures: June 12 vs Bosnia (Toronto) → June 18 vs Qatar (Vancouver) → June 24 vs Switzerland (Vancouver). A knockout berth would be Canada's first ever — Davies' world-stage moment.

LIKELY 4-3-3.

Marsch's preferred 4-3-3. Crépeau, named the starting goalkeeper, in goal. Davies on the left, Jonathan David at No.9, and Buchanan and Larin (or Oluwaseyi) on the flanks. Eustáquio anchors with Koné and Choinière as 8s.

4-3-3 (predicted)
